In a deeply emotional moment, actress Aneet Padda shared the heartbreaking news of her grandfather’s passing. Taking to Instagram, she posted a touching picture of herself holding his hand and wrote a long note filled with love, grief, and memories. She described him as the “only love of my life” and spoke about how even during his struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, he never forgot her. Her words reflected both pain and gratitude as she promised to carry his love and lessons with her forever.
Aneet spoke about how her grandfather’s memory had been fading due to Alzheimer’s, but his love for her remained strong. She wrote that even when he could not remember things clearly, he still held on to the feelings that mattered. She shared how she would keep his memories alive by remembering his jokes, his kindness, and the stories he told. She also expressed her desire to live a good life inspired by him, spreading the same warmth and positivity he gave to others. In a poetic and emotional line, she said she saw the brightest star in the sky and felt that was where he had gone, ending her note with repeated expressions of love for him.
Earlier, Aneet had spoken openly about her grandfather’s condition. Interestingly, her film Saiyaara also connected deeply with her personal life, as she played a character dealing with Alzheimer’s. She once shared that her grandfather did not remember her name anymore, but still called her by sweet nicknames like “Heeraput” and “Makkhan.” This made her role in the film even more emotional and meaningful.
She also recalled a special moment when her family showed her grandfather videos related to her film. Although he was bedridden and could not fully understand everything, he smiled and recognized her in his own way, which meant the world to her.
On the work front, Aneet continues to move ahead in her career. She will next be seen in the film Shakti Shalini and is also working on another project with her Saiyaara co star Ahaan Panday.
