Dhurandhar Singer Jasmine Sandlas Opens Up About Her Difficult Past

Jasmine Sandlas shares her struggles with addiction, family issues, and emotional challenges while reflecting on her journey to success in music.

Jasmine Sandlas, who recently gained attention for her songs in the Dhurandhar series, has spoken about the personal struggles she faced while growing up. In a recent conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, she shared details about her journey, including difficult phases in her life.

Jasmine said that her early years were not easy and that she had to deal with several challenges. “I struggled a lot. I think growing up, I have gone through certain phases in my life, figuring out things for myself in a journey. That was not comfortable. Life happens. It is a lot for the parents, but also for the children,” she said.

She also spoke about the importance of support and understanding during difficult times. “We need guidance and nourishment… Why are parents so tough on their children? When life really hits you, you do look for support. I do regret some things I did in those 2-3 years when I was drinking.”

Talking about that period, she explained how different situations affected her at the same time. “A lot of things piled up – I was famous on one side, I was feeling certain things, my family dynamics broke apart, my father was no more, and I was successful. I drank more than I should have, and I regret it, but it was important for me at that time.”

She also shared her feelings about her relationship with her parents. “They (parents) broke my heart unknowingly many times, so there is resentment. I love them, but when a child’s heart breaks, it remains broken. When you don’t have a safe space to run to, you look for a home in everything like crazy. I did that all my life, just yearning and finding home,” she said.

Jasmine was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, and later moved to California at a young age. This mix of cultures has influenced her music style. She first gained attention with the song Muskan in 2007 and later released her debut album The Diamond.

Her career grew further with the album Gulabi in 2012, created with Bohemia. She became widely known among Bollywood audiences with the song Yaar Naa Miley from Kick starring Salman Khan.

Over the years, she has sung several popular tracks, including Illegal Weapon and Ishq Da Sutta. More recently, her songs in films like Munjya and Raid 2, along with tracks like Shararat and Jaiye Sajna, have kept her in the spotlight.
