Pete Davidson debuts meaningful new tattoo after removing most of his ink

Pete Davidson reveals a new tattoo dedicated to his daughter after spending years and $200K removing most of his previous ink.

After years of steadily erasing the tattoos that once covered much of his body, Pete Davidson has revealed a new piece of ink. This time, it is deeply personal. Spotted at CinemaCon 2026, Davidson appeared almost entirely tattoo-free compared to his earlier years, but one detail stood out. Near his ear, he now has the name “Scottie,” a tribute to his baby daughter. The  moment feels like a full-circle shift for someone who has spent the past several years undergoing the long, painful, and expensive process of tattoo removal.

Davidson previously shared that he began removing his tattoos around 2021, estimating that the process could cost him up to $200,000. Even then, it turned out to be more grueling than expected. He described the experience as physically intense, requiring repeated sessions with weeks of healing in between.

At one point, Davidson had been covered in hundreds of tattoos, many tied to different phases of his life and career. Over time, he made the decision to remove most of them. This was partly a personal reset and also something that supported his journey toward sobriety.

That is what makes this new tattoo stand out. Instead of being impulsive or symbolic of a passing moment, it represents something lasting. His daughter, Scottie Rose, whom he shares with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, was born in December and marked a new chapter in his life.

Davidson has spoken openly about how becoming a father has changed his perspective. Having lost his own father at a young age, the experience carries deeper meaning for him.

By choosing to add just one carefully placed tattoo after removing so many, he is signaling a different relationship with ink. It feels more intentional, more grounded, and tied to something permanent in a way that earlier tattoos were not.

It is a quiet shift, but a telling one.
