Jackky Bhagnani recently spoke about his relationship with his wife Rakul Preet Singh and described their bond in a simple way. Even though they are married, he said he sees their relationship as a “situationship.” The couple appeared together on a YouTube show where they discussed their relationship, why they decided to get married, and how things have changed over time. Jackky explained that both of them were already happy as individuals before marriage. He said, “We told each other that we are not 20-21 years old anymore. We have both seen many ups and downs. Individually, I am a happy person.
I am not looking for anyone to fill that void because if I am a depressed person, no matter who comes into my life, I will be depressed. And individually, you are happy too. Together, we are happier.”
Rakul also shared her thoughts on the relationship and said they do not depend on each other for everything. She said, “filling a void in each other’s lives. It’s not like you didn’t take me for a holiday, so I am unhappy. I can go on that holiday by myself. I think there are more important things in life to talk about”.
Jackky further explained what he meant by calling their marriage a situationship. He said, “Rakul and I are married, but we are like in a situationship, which is, of course, we are exclusive to each other because that’s why we are married. But the most important thing is that I can talk to her about anything.”
He also spoke about honesty in their relationship. According to him, he does not hide anything from Rakul. He shared that even if someone from his past contacts him, he is comfortable answering the call openly. This helps him feel relaxed and not under pressure.
Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani were in a relationship for about three years before getting married on 21 February 2024. Their wedding took place in Goa with close family and friends. They had two ceremonies, including a Sikh Anand Karaj and a Sindhi wedding. The couple later shared their wedding photos on social media with the caption, “Mine now and forever (red heart emoticon) 21-02-2024 #abdonobhagna-ni.”
