Farah Khan recalls meeting Aparshakti Khurrana during Om Shanti Om promotions and shares how she doubted his acting journey before praising him

Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently shared a memory about her first meeting with actor Aparshakti Khurrana. She spoke about this during a visit to his home in Mumbai for one of her cooking vlog episodes. She was accompanied by her cook Dilip during the visit.

While exploring Aparshakti’s house, Farah spoke about how they first met many years ago. At that time, Aparshakti was working as a radio jockey. She recalled that their first interaction happened during the promotions of the film Om Shanti Om, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Farah shared that when she first met him, she was unsure about his move into acting. She said, “Jab yeh filmon mein aa raha tha, mujhe laga tha RJ kaise hi aayega, but he’s done so well yaar. Not only that, he has become such a good actor too (When he was entering films, I was not sure how a radio jockey would manage, but he has done really well. Not only that, he has also become such a good actor).”

She also praised his comic timing and added that she feels, “sometimes your comic timing is better than Ayushmann (Khurrana).” This was a lighthearted compliment comparing him to his brother Ayushmann Khurrana.

Talking about his work, Aparshakti will next be seen in the film Badtameez Gill. The movie is directed by Navjot Gulati and produced by Saga Films. It also features actors like Vaani Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Sheeba Chaddha, Richard Bhakti Klein, and Monica Chaudhary. The release date of the film has not been announced yet.

Aparshakti started his acting career with Dangal, starring Aamir Khan. After that, he appeared in films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Stree, Luka Chuppi, and Pati Patni Aur Woh. Over time, he has built a steady career in supporting roles, especially in comedy film
