Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, currently referred to as Mega 158, has received a new update after a period of uncertainty. The project, directed by Bobby Kolli, had faced delays related to its shooting schedule, which led to speculation about its progress.
The director recently shared an update on social media, confirming that the look test for Chiranjeevi has been completed. He posted a message saying, “Look test Locked the look of #Mega158 with Megastar @KChiruTweets garu today Can’t wait to begin this journey #ChiruBobby2 @KvnProductions @LohithNK01.” This suggests that preparations for the film are moving ahead and that shooting is expected to begin soon.
Earlier reports had indicated that Mohanlal may play an important role in the film. If confirmed, this would be the first time Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal appear together on screen. The film is believed to be a gangster action story with an emotional background, although detailed information about the plot has not been officially shared.
This project marks the second collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli after their 2023 film Waltair Veerayya. Their earlier film performed well, which has added to the interest around this new project.
Recently, Chiranjeevi was also in the news for receiving the NTR National Film Award. He thanked the Telangana government and others involved in the recognition. Chiranjeevi was last seen in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu alongside Nayanthara. The film was released in January and received a positive response. It follows the story of a security officer who is assigned to protect his estranged family while facing a serious threat. During this process, he also tries to repair his relationship with them after six years.
