Kritika Kamra Reflects On Journey From Friendship To Marriage With Gaurav Kapur

Kritika Kamra shares details about her relationship with Gaurav Kapur, explaining how friendship turned into marriage and why compatibility matters.

Actor Kritika Kamra recently married Gaurav Kapur in a private ceremony held on March 11 at his residence in Mumbai. The wedding was attended by close friends and family members. About a month after the event, Kritika spoke about their relationship and how it developed over time.

In an interaction with Miss Malini, she explained that their bond started as a friendship. She said, “People say friendship is very important in love. I absolutely agree. It’s a great feeling to be with someone who feels like your best friend.” According to her, this foundation helped their relationship grow in a stable manner.

She also shared her views on compatibility in relationships. She said, “I think you need more in common to enjoy someone’s company, to live with them and understand them. Attraction doesn’t always consider that, but alignment is important. Your heart and your head need to be aligned, it’s not just fun and games.” She indicated that shared values and understanding played a key role in her decision.

Speaking about how their relationship progressed, she said, “I don’t know. We’ve never discussed who fell first. It kind of grew naturally. It started with a great friendship and instant chemistry, but the realisation that this is someone I want to be with for life took time. As the relationship evolved, that happened almost simultaneously for both of us.” This suggests that the transition from friendship to a long term commitment was gradual.

The couple opted for a simple registered wedding at home rather than a large public ceremony. On the professional side, Kritika Kamra began her acting career in 2007 with Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar. She gained recognition in 2009 with Kitani Mohabbat Hai, where she played a singer. Over the years, she has appeared in several television shows including Pyaar Ka Bandhan and Kuch Toh Log Kahenge.

In later years, she worked in projects like Reporters and Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta. She made her film debut with Mitron in 2018 and was also seen in the web series Tandav in 2021.
