Angelina Jolie Planning to Leave Los Angeles Forever? Father Jon Voight Reportedly Heartbroken

Angelina Jolie may leave Los Angeles for a new life abroad, leaving father Jon Voight emotional and worried about their strained relationship.

Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie may soon leave Los Angeles and start a new chapter of her life abroad, and reports suggest that the decision is deeply affecting her father, veteran actor Jon Voight. According to reports, Jon is finding it difficult to accept the idea that Angelina could move away permanently and fears that their already complicated relationship may become even more distant in the future.

Sources close to the family claim that Jon Voight has been trying hard to reconnect with his daughter before she leaves Los Angeles. The 87 year old actor is reportedly emotional about the possibility of not seeing Angelina again once she moves out of the city. An insider shared that Jon has been requesting Angelina to meet him at least one last time before she starts her new life elsewhere. Although the father and daughter reportedly do not speak often, Jon still continues to send birthday wishes and holiday messages to Angelina and asks about her children regularly.

Reports also suggest that the relationship between Angelina and Jon became more strained after he publicly commented on her long and bitter divorce battle with Brad Pitt in 2024. Since then, the distance between them has reportedly grown even more. Despite this, Jon still hopes that one day they can leave their differences behind and spend more time together as a family.

Rumours about Angelina leaving Los Angeles first started after an interview she gave to The Hollywood Reporter in August 2024. During the interview, she admitted that she was only staying in Los Angeles because of her divorce situation. She also explained that once her twins, Knox and Vivienne, turn 18, she plans to spend more time living abroad. The twins will celebrate their 18th birthday on July 12 this year.

Angelina has often spoken about wanting a more peaceful and private life for her children away from Hollywood. She mentioned that she plans to spend a lot of time in Cambodia and visit family members around the world. Adding more fuel to the rumours, Angelina has also reportedly listed her California home, once owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, for sale.

Angelina and Brad Pitt filed for divorce in 2016 after two years of marriage. Together, they share six children. Over the years, Angelina’s relationship with her father has seen many ups and downs, including a long period of estrangement before they briefly reconciled in 2010. Now, with Angelina reportedly preparing for a fresh start outside Los Angeles, many believe another emotional chapter may be unfolding in the famous family’s story.
