Demi Moore Turns Heads At Cannes 2026 But Fans Are Divided Over Her Look

Demi Moore impressed fans with her glamorous Cannes appearance, but her noticeably thin look also sparked concern and debate online.

Demi Moore grabbed attention during the opening night of the 79th Cannes Film Festival with her glamorous red carpet appearance. The 63 year old actress walked the red carpet in France wearing a strapless sequined gown by Jacquemus that highlighted her toned look and elegant style. She completed the outfit with a diamond necklace and floral earrings from Chopard.

Soon after the event, Demi Moore and her stylist Brad Goreski shared a behind the scenes video on Instagram, giving fans a closer look at the actress’s Cannes outfit. The video quickly received a lot of reactions online, with many fans and celebrities praising her appearance. Actress Rita Wilson commented, “Maybe one of my most favorites dresses on you.”

Many social media users also praised Moore’s style and confidence. One person wrote, “I still think she looks great. She’s always been beautiful.” Another commented, “Insane! I am so set for your Cannes moments!” while another fan added, “So stunning and it fits like a glove.”

However, not all reactions were positive. Some users expressed concern over Moore’s thin appearance, especially focusing on her arms. One comment read, “Yes she’s gorgeous but the extreme thinness is not something we should glamorize. I don’t think it’s a healthy example for an idol and role model.” Another user wrote, “I’ve been a big fan of yours for years, Demi, and I say with the utmost compassion that I hope you take care of your health. A lot of people care about you.”

Moore, who is serving on this year’s Cannes competition jury, also attended a photocall event earlier in the day wearing another Jacquemus outfit featuring a polka dot dress with matching accessories.

Last year, while accepting her Golden Globe award for The Substance, Moore spoke openly about self worth and confidence. She said, “In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough, or basically just not enough, I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down a measuring stick.’”

“And so today, I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me, and for the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I do belong.”
