Bhooth Bangla Nears Rs. 165 Crore After Strong Fourth Week Hold

Bhooth Bangla has earned Rs. 154.50 crore in India after four weeks and could cross Rs. 165 crore during its full theatrical run.

Bhooth Bangla continued its steady performance at the Indian box office during its fourth week in theatres. The film collected around Rs. 95 lakh on its fourth Thursday, showing a drop of nearly 35 per cent compared to the previous Thursday. Overall, the fourth week collections were around 40 per cent lower than the third week, which is still considered a stable hold for a film in its fourth week.

The movie’s total India nett collection has now reached Rs. 154.50 crore. Until now, Bhooth Bangla has enjoyed a relatively free run at the box office without facing major competition from new releases. However, this week the film will compete with Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, which is arriving in theatres.

Trade analysts believe that if Bhooth Bangla continues to perform steadily despite the new competition, it could comfortably cross the Rs. 165 crore nett mark by the end of its theatrical run. The film also has a chance of crossing the lifetime India collection of Housefull 5, which earned Rs. 168 crore nett at the Indian box office.

The success of Bhooth Bangla is important for Akshay Kumar, who has faced a difficult phase at the box office in the years following the pandemic. Several of his films underperformed during this period. Although some of his releases last year managed decent business, none of them were major hits. Bhooth Bangla has now emerged as a successful film and has helped improve his recent box office record.

Akshay Kumar is also known for maintaining a high number of film releases every year compared to many other leading actors in the industry. Industry experts often point out that actors who release films regularly help keep theatre business active throughout the year. Apart from Ajay Devgn, very few major stars currently maintain a similar release frequency.

The box office collections for Bhooth Bangla currently stand at Rs. 80.25 crore in Week One, Rs. 40.75 crore in Week Two, and Rs. 21 crore in Week Three. During Week Four, the film collected Rs. 1.45 crore on Friday, Rs. 2.80 crore on Saturday, Rs. 3.75 crore on Sunday, Rs. 1.15 crore on Monday, Rs. 1.40 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 1 crore on Wednesday, and an estimated Rs. 95 lakh on Thursday, taking the total to Rs. 154.50 crore nett.
