Taylor Swift Could Cover Travis Kelce’s Living Expenses After Marriage Due to Massive Wealth Gap

A legal expert says Taylor Swift’s prenup with Travis Kelce could include her covering living expenses because of the major difference in their net worths.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may be one of the world’s most powerful celebrity couples, but according to legal experts, their enormous wealth gap could play a major role in shaping their future prenuptial agreement. The couple, who got engaged in August 2025 after nearly two years of dating, are reportedly preparing for a summer wedding in New York City. Now, discussions surrounding how they may legally protect their fortunes are becoming a hot topic online.

Attorney Sarah Luetto recently explained that in high-net-worth marriages where one partner is significantly wealthier, prenups often include arrangements where the richer spouse takes responsibility for the couple’s living expenses.

In this case, that would likely mean Swift.

The global pop superstar officially became a billionaire following the massive success of her Eras Tour and the buyback of her music catalog. Meanwhile, Kelce’s fortune, while still substantial, is estimated to be far smaller through his NFL career, podcast deals and brand partnerships.

According to Luetto, many celebrity prenups are structured to ensure the less wealthy spouse preserves their own assets while the wealthier partner handles major shared financial obligations.

The attorney also noted that agreements like these sometimes include gradual “gifting” or transferring of assets over time, depending on the length of the marriage.

Still, Swift’s music catalog is expected to remain heavily protected.

Because both Swift and Kelce own intellectual property and businesses that are difficult to value, experts believe any prenup would likely keep their individual estates completely separate.

That would allow both stars to maintain full control over their own earnings, investments and future ventures while simplifying matters legally in case of a divorce.

The report also claims the agreement could include clauses regarding jointly purchased properties or shared investments, clarifying ownership on a case-by-case basis.

Another major factor is geography.

Swift owns multiple luxury homes across New York, Rhode Island, Nashville and Los Angeles, while Kelce owns properties in Kansas City and Florida. Legal experts say their prenup could include “choice-of-law” clauses deciding which state’s laws would apply if legal disputes ever arose.

Privacy is also expected to be a huge priority.

According to the lawyer, the couple may include strict confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements tied to their relationship, along with non-disparagement clauses designed to protect both parties publicly.

Swift and Kelce have become one of the most watched celebrity couples in the world since confirming their romance in 2023. Their relationship has dominated headlines across music, sports and pop culture ever since.

Despite the financial conversations surrounding their reported prenup, insiders continue to describe the relationship as deeply serious and grounded, with both stars balancing massive careers while maintaining a relatively private personal life away from the spotlight.
