Netflix has released the trailer of its upcoming crime comedy Maa Behen, which promises a mix of suspense, dark humour and family drama. The film revolves around a chaotic mother daughter trio whose lives spiral out of control after a shocking incident inside their home.
The trailer opens with the line, “Dhyan se dekhiye… aaj hua hai ek bhayankar kaand ka khulasa! Baat kar rahein hain Adarsh colony ke mashhoor Rekha, Jaya aur Sushma ke karnamon ki!” The story then slowly reveals that Rekha’s house contains a dead body, leading to panic, confusion and a series of questionable decisions.
Produced by Abundantia Entertainment in association with Opening Image Films, the movie is directed by Suresh Triveni. The film focuses on the unusual relationship between Rekha, Jaya and Sushma as they try to survive both the situation and each other.
The cast includes Madhuri Dixit as Rekha, Triptii Dimri as Jaya and Dharna Durgaa as Sushma. The supporting cast features Ravi Kishan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh and Shardul Bhardwaj in important roles.
According to the trailer, the three women are already struggling with their personal differences before the situation becomes even worse. What follows is a chain of lies, emotional breakdowns, suspicious neighbours and desperate attempts to cover up the truth.
The film appears to combine crime and comedy in a light yet chaotic manner, focusing more on the family’s reactions and emotional mess rather than serious investigation drama. The trailer also hints at several funny moments built around panic, misunderstandings and awkward situations.
Maa Behen is scheduled to release on June 4 exclusively on Netflix.
