Celina Jaitly Breaks Silence on Abuse and Loneliness After Twisha Sharma Death Case

Celina Jaitly reacted to the Twisha Sharma case and opened up about her own painful marriage struggles, loneliness, and emotional abuse.

Actor Celina Jaitly has shared an emotional message after the shocking death of Twisha Sharma, a case that has deeply disturbed people across the country. Twisha, a 33 year old woman from Bhopal, was found dead at her home earlier this month. Her family has accused her husband and mother in law of dowry harassment and abetment to suicide. The case has sparked nationwide discussions about emotional abuse, domestic violence, and the silent suffering many women face behind closed doors.

Reacting to the tragedy, Celina took to Instagram and spoke not only about Twisha’s case but also about her own painful experiences in marriage. The actor said people often believe marriage automatically brings happiness, but reality can sometimes be very different. She explained that abuse is not always physical and visible. According to her, emotional pain, isolation, humiliation, and loneliness can slowly destroy a person from the inside while the outside world continues to believe everything is normal.

In her emotional post, Celina wrote that many women suffer silently because they feel trapped and helpless. She explained how isolation becomes deeper over time, especially when someone is living away from family and support systems. Celina said that in her own situation, both her parents had already passed away, she was no longer financially independent, and she also had three small children to care for. Because of this, she continued staying in the marriage longer than she should have, hoping to keep the family together and protect her children from pain.

The actor admitted that loneliness can slowly make a person question their own reality. She said many women start believing that merely surviving is the same as living. Celina also urged parents and families to support daughters and women who reach out for help. She requested families not to ignore signs of abuse or emotional suffering.

Celina is currently involved in a legal battle with her husband, Austrian hotelier Peter Haag. Last year, she filed a case accusing him of domestic violence, cruelty, and manipulation, and reportedly sought compensation of ₹50 crore. She has also spoken publicly about the pain of being separated from her children, Winston and Viraaj, despite court arrangements regarding custody and communication.

Meanwhile, Twisha Sharma’s final rites were performed 12 days after her death following a second postmortem ordered by the high court and conducted by doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi. The case continues to remain under investigation.
