Shakira won the award over several major international artists, including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Oasis, Kendrick Lamar and SZA.
According to tour figures, Shakira’s world tour earned $421.6 million through 86 shows and attracted around 3.3 million fans globally. The tour also entered the Guinness World Records as the highest grossing tour by a Latin artist.
After the win, Shakira shared a message on social media thanking her fans and team for supporting the tour. The singer expressed gratitude for the achievement and celebrated the success with people who worked closely with her during the concerts.
The award comes just before the United States leg of her tour begins on June 13. The next phase of the tour will open at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

With this latest victory, Shakira has now won 8 American Music Awards in her career. She currently holds the record as the most awarded Latin female artist in the history of the American Music Awards.
