Singer John Legend and model Chrissy Teigen attended the 2026 American Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday. During their appearance on the blue carpet, the couple drew attention after Teigen experienced a small wardrobe malfunction while posing for photographs.
Chrissy Teigen arrived at the event wearing a floor length orange beaded gown paired with gold heels. While posing with John Legend, her heel accidentally got caught in the lower part of the dress, forcing her to stop for a moment.
As Teigen tried to free the dress, John Legend quickly bent down to help untangle the fabric. Another woman also stepped in to assist. During the incident, a few beads from the gown came loose and fell onto the carpet.
Despite the situation, Teigen remained relaxed and laughed about the moment. After fixing the dress, the couple continued posing for pictures together. John Legend wore a tan trench coat with matching high waist trousers for the event.
The couple, who got married in September 2013, are often known for sharing light hearted moments from their relationship. Earlier on Monday, Teigen posted videos on her Instagram Stories while the two were in Las Vegas.

In one clip, she joked about visiting the live stage show Magic Mike Live after the awards event. Speaking to Legend, she said, “After you’re done performing, should we just, like, go to ‘Magic Mike’ or something?”
She later continued joking in another video and asked him, “So we could go see ‘Magic Mike.’”
Earlier this year, Teigen also spoke about her marriage during an interview with E! News. Sharing a humorous comment about their relationship, she said, “For all he knows, I have never farted or pooped.”
She further added, “You got to keep the sexy and preserve the sexy in a little bit of ways.”
The couple shares 4 children together, Luna, 9, Miles, 7, and 2 year old twins Esti and Wren.
In an earlier appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast in March 2023, John Legend spoke openly about married life and praised Teigen’s sense of humor. He said, “It’s probably obvious, but she makes me laugh all of the time.”
