Chand Mera Dil Crosses A Major Milestone Despite Slowing Box Office Run

Chand Mera Dil crossed Rs. 25 crore at the Indian box office, maintaining a steady run as it heads into a competitive weekend with new releases.

Chand Mera Dil continued its run at the Indian box office with a collection of approximately Rs. 0.95 crore on its second Tuesday. The romantic drama maintained a stable performance, although it did not witness any major increase in collections despite discount offers available during the week.

The film’s second Tuesday earnings took its second week total to around Rs. 6.80 crore in 5 days. Earlier promotional offers, including a Buy One Get One ticket scheme on Monday, had already helped support audience turnout, which may have limited any noticeable jump in collections on Tuesday.

With its latest earnings, Chand Mera Dil has crossed the Rs. 25 crore mark at the Indian box office. Directed by Vivek Soni and starring Lakshya and Ananya Panday, the film has managed to maintain a consistent run since its release. Based on current trends, it is expected to end its second week with a total of approximately Rs. 27 crore.

The coming weekend, however, could present new challenges for the film. Several fresh releases, including Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Bandar, and Peddi, are set to arrive in cinemas. The addition of these films is expected to increase competition for screen space and audience attention.

Industry estimates suggest that Chand Mera Dil may slow down further once the new releases enter the market. If current trends continue, the film is expected to finish its overall theatrical run with collections of around Rs. 35 crore. While that would be considered a reasonable result for the cast and genre, it is unlikely to significantly alter the film’s overall box office standing.

The performance of Chand Mera Dil also reflects the challenges currently faced by romantic dramas in theatres. Since 2020, only a limited number of films in the romantic comedy and romance genre have managed to achieve major commercial success. Audience preferences have shifted toward a wider variety of genres, making it more difficult for traditional romantic films to attract large theatrical audiences.
