Chand Mera Dil Faces Its Biggest Box Office Test Yet

Chand Mera Dil has reached Rs. 24.10 crore at the Indian box office and now faces fresh competition from several new releases.

Chand Mera Dil continued its theatrical run with a collection of Rs. 90 lakh on its second Monday. The romantic drama recorded a drop of around 25 to 27 per cent compared to its second Friday collections. It also saw a decline of approximately 55 per cent when compared to its earnings on the previous Monday.

With the latest figures, the film’s total collection has reached Rs. 24.10 crore nett at the Indian box office. While the pace of collections has slowed down in the second week, the movie is still managing to attract audiences and add to its overall earnings.

Directed by Vivek Soni, Chand Mera Dil is expected to finish its second week with a total collection of around Rs. 27 crore to Rs. 28 crore. However, the film is about to face fresh competition at the box office. Several new releases, including Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Bandar, and Peddi, are scheduled to arrive in theatres this weekend. Their release is likely to affect the number of screens and audience attention available to Chand Mera Dil.

The coming weeks will be important for the Lakshya and Ananya Panday starrer. The film’s ability to maintain collections during its third and fourth weeks will determine how far it can go at the box office. Strong audience support and positive word of mouth will be necessary if the movie hopes to extend its theatrical run.

Based on current trends, Chand Mera Dil is expected to end its overall run with a collection of around Rs. 35 crore. While that would be a respectable total for the film and its cast, it may not be enough to significantly alter its box office outcome. The romantic comedy genre has faced challenges in recent years, with only a small number of films in the category managing to achieve major commercial success after 2020.

The day wise box office collections of Chand Mera Dil are as follows:

Day 1: Rs. 2.75 crore

Day 2: Rs. 3.50 crore

Day 3: Rs. 4.25 crore

Day 4: Rs. 2.00 crore

Day 5: Rs. 1.75 crore

Day 6: Rs. 1.75 crore

Day 7: Rs. 2.25 crore

Day 8: Rs. 1.25 crore

Day 9: Rs. 1.75 crore

Day 10: Rs. 1.95 crore

Day 11: Rs. 0.90 crore (estimated)

Total: Rs. 24.10 crore

As the film enters another crucial phase of its theatrical journey, all eyes will be on whether Chand Mera Dil can maintain steady collections despite increasing competition from new releases in the coming days.
