An all new teaser trailer and poster for Ice Age: Boiling Point have been released, offering fans a fresh look at the next chapter in the popular animated franchise. The film is scheduled to release exclusively in cinemas in English and Hindi on 5th February 2027. The new movie brings back many of the characters audiences know from earlier Ice Age films. The teaser shows Manny, voiced by Ray Romano, Diego, voiced by Denis Leary, Sid, voiced by John Leguizamo, Buck, voiced by Simon Pegg, and Ellie, voiced by Queen Latifah. Fan favourites Scrat, Crash, Eddie and Baby Scrat also return.
In the story, the herd is launched out of a volcano and sent into a dangerous adventure filled with lava, dinosaurs and other prehistoric challenges. The group travels deeper into the Lost World than in previous films, facing new obstacles and unexpected situations along the way.
The film is directed by John Donkin and continues the series’ mix of comedy, action and family friendly storytelling. According to the teaser, the movie will feature the same style of humour and chaotic adventures that made the franchise popular with audiences around the world.
Ice Age first became a major success with its original release in 2002 and has since grown into one of the most recognizable animated franchises. Over the years, the series has followed the adventures of a herd of prehistoric animals through changing landscapes, natural disasters and encounters with dinosaurs.
The release of the teaser comes after the film was first previewed at CinemaCon, where it generated significant interest among moviegoers and industry attendees. The newly released footage provides a clearer look at the film’s setting, returning characters and overall tone.
Produced by Walt Disney Studios, Ice Age: Boiling Point is expected to continue the franchise’s tradition of combining adventure, humour and family entertainment when it arrives in cinemas on 5th February 2027.
