With this, the film wrapped up its second week with around Rs. 37.15 crore gross collections. This represents a 43 per cent increase compared to its opening week, making it a notable example of positive growth after release.
The film had earned Rs. 20.85 crore gross during its first week. When combined with its second week collections, Obsession’s total earnings have now reached Rs. 58 crore gross at the Indian box office. The steady growth suggests that the film has managed to attract audiences beyond its opening weekend and has continued to perform well through word of mouth and audience interest.
Directed by Curry Barker, the horror thriller stars Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette in leading roles. The film has maintained momentum through its second week and is expected to witness another increase in collections during its third weekend. Trade estimates suggest that Obsession could collect between Rs. 13 crore and Rs. 15 crore over the upcoming weekend. If that happens, its total earnings could move close to the Rs. 75 crore gross mark.
Looking ahead, the film appears to have the potential to cross Rs. 90 crore during its theatrical run. There is also a possibility of reaching the Rs. 100 crore milestone if it continues to perform steadily. Even during the weekdays, the film maintained stable earnings with collections above Rs. 4 crore on most days.
With a total of Rs. 58.00 crore gross collected so far, Obsession remains one of the stronger performing films currently in theatres.
