She said that while Gaurav now wants to become a father, she had realised over time that motherhood was not the right choice for her.
Speaking about her feelings, Akanksha said, “When we were married, I never had any maternal instinct. But I was open to discovering it; it was never shut down. Gradually, I realised I am not meant for it. He was okay with it, but I guess with time, that shifted. Now he wants to have kids, and when I see that, I cannot give him that ever… I had told him long back, when I had realised I was not cut out to be a mother, that I would never become a mother.”
Akanksha’s statement suggests that the difference in their future plans became one of the biggest reasons behind their separation. She explained that although she was willing to understand her feelings about motherhood after getting married, she eventually realised that becoming a parent was not something she wanted. She also shared that she had informed Gaurav about this decision as soon as she became certain about it. According to Akanksha, while he initially accepted her decision, his thoughts changed with time, and he later wanted to have children, creating a major difference between them.
