Dhamaal 4 continued its box office run with a collection of Rs. 2.25 crore on its third Friday. The film recorded a 57 per cent drop compared to its second Friday, taking its total domestic collection to Rs. 135.75 crore nett. While a decline in collections is expected by the third week, the film has managed to maintain a stable performance and continues to attract audiences.
Directed by Indra Kumar, the comedy entertainer is expected to benefit from the absence of any major new releases at the box office. With limited competition in theatres, the film is likely to remain the preferred choice for family audiences over the coming days. Based on its current trend, Dhamaal 4 is expected to collect around Rs. 15 crore during its third week. If that happens, its total collection will move past the Rs. 150 crore mark. Looking further ahead, the film is currently expected to finish its theatrical run at around Rs. 160 crore nett in India.
The film has already emerged as a Clean HIT at the box office and has become the fourth successful Bollywood release of the year after Border 2, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and Bhooth Bangla. Interestingly, three of these successful films belong to established franchises, while the fourth has been described as a quasi Bhool Bhulaiyaa film. This trend suggests that franchise films continue to perform well when they connect with audiences, despite earlier discussions about possible franchise fatigue following the underperformance of some sequels last year.
The performance of Dhamaal 4 also highlights that audience interest in established film series remains strong when the content is well received and the release timing works in the film’s favour. Another franchise release, Welcome to the Jungle, also performed reasonably well, although stronger competition at the box office limited its overall business. This indicates that while franchise value helps attract audiences, the level of competition during release continues to play an important role in determining a film’s final box office outcome.
With its steady collections and favourable release window, Dhamaal 4 remains on course to achieve another major milestone in the coming days. The film’s third week performance will determine whether it can comfortably reach its projected lifetime total of around Rs. 160 crore nett.
