Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, starring Kay Kay Menon, has officially been renewed for Seasons 2 and 3. Prime Video announced the news on Friday, following the strong response to the series since its worldwide premiere on July 24.
According to Prime Video, the show has become the most watched non English series worldwide. It has also reached viewers across 94 per cent of India’s PIN codes, showing the wide audience response the series has received.
The series follows Gyaneshwar Tripathi, played by Kay Kay Menon, a relaxed headmaster who finds himself responsible for one of the most difficult schools in Tinki Toli. His character tries to bring some discipline and order to the school while dealing with its unusual students, teachers and everyday problems.
The story combines school life, comedy and everyday challenges through the experiences of its central characters. The renewal for two more seasons means viewers will get to see more of Gyaneshwar Tripathi and the people around him.
Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya is directed by Himank Gaur and created and executive produced by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena under Posham Pa Pictures. The writing team includes Biswapati Sarkar, Akshay Asthana, Nupur Pai, Tatsat Pandey and Meghna Srivastava.
The series features Kay Kay Menon along with Archana Puran Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Prasanna Bisht, Deven Bhojani, Ajitesh Gupta, Annapurna Soni and Prachee Shah in important roles.
The renewal comes less than a month after the series premiered. Its performance across India and international markets has helped it become one of Prime Video’s notable recent non English releases.
The show is currently available to stream on Prime Video in India as well as more than 240 countries and territories. While Prime Video has confirmed Seasons 2 and 3, details about their storylines and release dates have not yet been announced.
The new seasons will continue the story of Gyaneshwar Tripathi and his efforts to manage the troubled school. For viewers who have already watched the first season, the renewal means the characters and their school troubles will return for two more chapters.
