Actor Govinda recently became the subject of online discussion after he was spotted at the Mumbai airport with Komal Rani Swarnkar. Soon after the video surfaced online, social media users began speculating about their relationship and some even referred to Komal as Govinda’s rumoured girlfriend.
Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, has now reacted to the viral appearance in her usual direct style. When a paparazzo asked her about Govinda and Komal promoting a film together, Sunita questioned the idea and made a sharp comment about the situation.
“The picture must be made first (laughs). Promotions occur after a film is made. But without promotions…now what can I say?”
She then spoke about Govinda being seen with Komal and also commented on Komal’s outfit.
“Beti ki umar ki ladki ko le leke ghoom raha hai, sharam to aana chahiye thoda isko. Koi standard to hona chahiye. Tumhara sugar daddy itna ameer hain, kapde to dhang ka peheno. Hum log ko dekho kya style mei chalte hain. (He’s roaming with a girl his daughter’s age; he should be ashamed. He must have a standard. Your sugar daddy is so rich; at least dress properly. Look at us dressed so stylishly.) Very bad, he’s lost his mind,” said Sunita.
Komal was not widely known among mainstream audiences before her appearance with Govinda. She currently has 15.5k followers on Instagram. Several reports have claimed that she is from Uttar Pradesh, while Money Control reported that she will appear in Govinda’s upcoming films Roopa and Duniyadari.
Govinda and Sunita have been married since 1987 and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan. Sunita has previously spoken publicly about reports and discussions surrounding Govinda’s alleged relationships.
During an appearance on Netflix’s Lock Upp, Sunita also discussed the subject while speaking with Shilpa Shinde. Shilpa questioned her about her comments regarding Govinda, saying, “Govinda ji ke fan hain. Toh aap ne aise kaise kiya? Aap aise kaise kar sakte ho? Aap aise kaise bol sakte ho? Aap ko pata hain aap ne kya decision liya (Govinda has so many fans. And what did you do? How could you say those things about him? Do you even understand the decision you took?)”
Sunita responded by making it clear that outsiders do not know what happens inside their marriage. She later told Ram Kapoor, “He is my husband, let him do. No other person has the right to comment. I am his wife.”
She also added, “Don’t you talk about my family! Mera pati hai. Woh 50 se affair kare, tere baap ka kya ja raha hai (He is my husband. Let him do 50 affairs, what is your father losing?)”
