Six months after the first episode of Ryan Murphy’s Love Story aired, interest in John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy continues to remain strong. On Wednesday, August 19, Pidgeon appeared in New York wearing an outfit that looked strongly inspired by Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s famous style. The actress chose a sleek mini dress from Khaite, paired with black block heel shoes and a Balenciaga bag. The overall look was simple, sophisticated and very much in line with the clean fashion style associated with Carolyn.

The Khaite dress was made from soft taupe grey wool and featured a high cowl neckline. Its back had an angular wrapped design that added a modern detail to the otherwise simple outfit. The clean shape, minimal styling and careful attention to proportions gave the dress a clear 90s feel while still making it look suitable for modern fashion.
The material also made the dress a practical choice for the changing season. With summer slowly moving towards autumn, the soft fabric and sleeveless design offered a look that could work during the transition between warmer and cooler weather.

To complete the outfit, Pidgeon carried a black Balenciaga Rodeo bag. The large leather bag featured a long handle and gold coloured side details. She carried it over her shoulder and left the front flap open, giving the otherwise polished outfit a relaxed finish.
