Haunted 3D Echoes Of The Past Nears 14 Crore In Its First Week

Haunted 3D Echoes Of The Past collected Rs. 13.10 crore in 6 days and is expected to finish its first week close to Rs. 14 crore.

Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past continued its theatrical run with steady collections on its sixth day in cinemas. The horror film collected approximately Rs. 1 crore on Wednesday, recording a drop of around 30 per cent compared to its Monday collections. Despite the decline, the movie has maintained a healthy run at the box office and has reached a total of Rs. 13.10 crore nett in India after 6 days.

Based on current trends, the film is expected to complete its first week with collections close to Rs. 14 crore nett. For a horror film made on a relatively controlled budget, this is considered a positive result and places the movie in a comfortable position commercially.

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past has already emerged as a successful release. Industry observers are now watching closely to see how the film performs during its second weekend. If collections increase as expected, the movie could cross the Rs. 20 crore mark in the coming days.

One of the more interesting aspects of the film’s performance is the contrast between audience discussions and box office numbers. While reactions and word of mouth have been mixed in some sections, the film has still managed to attract viewers and maintain a steady collection trend.

The success of the movie has also renewed interest in a style of horror filmmaking that was once very popular. The original Haunted 3D, released in 2011, performed well at the box office and became a successful film. Vikram Bhatt has also been associated with several successful horror projects over the years, including films from the Raaz franchise.

However, many films in this genre struggled to attract audiences over the last fifteen years, leading some industry observers to believe that this type of horror had lost its appeal. The performance of Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past suggests there is still an audience for such stories when presented effectively.

Some trade analysts believe the film could have achieved even stronger numbers if it had benefited from higher production values. Even so, its current box office performance has exceeded many expectations.

The film opened with Rs. 2.35 crore on Day 1 and continued with Rs. 3.00 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 3.50 crore on Day 3. It then collected Rs. 1.50 crore on Day 4, an estimated Rs. 1.75 crore on Day 5, and Rs. 1.00 crore on Day 6. These collections have taken its total to Rs. 13.10 crore nett at the Indian box office.
