Welcome To The Jungle continued its run at the Indian box office during its third weekend, taking its total collection to ₹125.60 crore nett. The comedy film collected ₹4.30 crore nett over the weekend, with Sunday contributing an estimated ₹1.85 crore nett. While the film remained among the releases attracting audiences, its collections showed a noticeable decline compared to the previous weekend.
The film earned ₹0.85 crore nett on its third Friday. Collections improved to ₹1.60 crore nett on Saturday before increasing slightly to an estimated ₹1.85 crore nett on Sunday. However, the third weekend collections were around 80 per cent lower than the previous weekend, indicating that the film’s theatrical run has begun to slow down.
The day wise box office collections are as follows:
Week 1: ₹92.25 crore nett
Week 2: ₹29.00 crore nett
Third Friday: ₹0.85 crore nett
Third Saturday: ₹1.60 crore nett
Third Sunday: ₹1.85 crore nett
Total: ₹125.60 crore nett
Based on the current trend, Welcome To The Jungle is expected to collect around ₹7 crore to ₹9 crore during its third week, which could take its total collection close to ₹130 crore nett. Trade estimates suggest that the film may add around ₹5 crore more during the remainder of its theatrical run, resulting in a final collection of approximately ₹135 crore nett.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film stars Akshay Kumar and is part of the Welcome franchise. While the film has crossed the ₹125 crore mark, its overall box office performance is expected to remain lower than the lifetime collections of Bhooth Bangla and Housefull 5. Compared to earlier films in the Welcome series, the latest instalment has also recorded more modest earnings.
The original Welcome was one of the highest grossing films of its time, while the second film also performed well despite featuring a different lead cast. In comparison, Welcome To The Jungle has delivered a steady theatrical run but has not matched the box office performance of its predecessors. The coming weeks will determine its final lifetime collection as it approaches the end of its run in cinemas.
