Hollywood horror thriller Obsession continued its successful run at the Indian box office during its fourth weekend. The film added approximately Rs. 6.50 crore gross over the weekend, taking its total collection in India to around Rs. 91 crore gross after four weeks in theatres.
Although the film recorded its first notable drop in collections compared to previous weeks, it has still managed to maintain a steady performance. The fourth weekend contributed Rs. 1.50 crore on Friday, Rs. 2.60 crore on Saturday and Rs. 2.40 crore on Sunday. These numbers helped push the film closer to the Rs. 100 crore gross milestone.
Directed by Curry Barker and starring Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette, Obsession has emerged as the highest grossing Hollywood release of 2026 in India so far. The film has surpassed the lifetime collection of Project Hail Mary, making it the top performing Hollywood title of the year in the country.
With its current momentum, the film is expected to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark during its fifth week. If it achieves that milestone, it will strengthen its position among the biggest Hollywood releases in India this year. It is also on course to challenge the collection record of The Conjuring: Last Rites among Hollywood horror films in the Indian market.
The success of Obsession reflects a broader trend for Hollywood films in India during 2026. Several international releases have performed well at the box office this year. Films such as Project Hail Mary, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, The Devil Weds Prada 2 and Michael have all recorded strong performances, contributing to a successful year for Hollywood releases in the country.
Upcoming releases are also expected to generate significant interest among moviegoers. Films like Spiderman: Brand New Day and The Odyssey have reportedly started attracting attention ahead of their releases, adding to expectations that 2026 could become one of the strongest years for Hollywood films in India.
Obsession began its theatrical run with Rs. 21.85 crore in its first week. The second week saw a major jump, adding Rs. 37.15 crore. The film then collected Rs. 25.50 crore in its third week before adding Rs. 6.50 crore during its fourth weekend.
With a current total of Rs. 91 crore gross, Obsession remains one of the strongest performing Hollywood films of the year in India and continues its march towards the Rs. 100 crore milestone.
