Mumbaikars spotted actor Imran Khan and his girlfriend, Lekha Washington, on Friday in the city. The couple began their weekend by catching a film. Multiple clips and images of the pair circulated on social media.
A video showed Imran and Lekha getting out of the venue. When he started to walk, Imran stretched out his hand, and Lekha took it and smiled at him. The two then stopped for the cameras. Imran also thanked a paparazzo and placed a hand on his chest.
In a different video, Lekha was shown embracing a girl and later fist-bumping her. She then quickly walked away. Imran donned a black T-shirt, a brown leather jacket, and denims for the outing. Lekha wore a black top and pants. The two of them watched Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, a film directed by Danish Aslam and starring Prateik Babbar, Sayani Gupta, and Danish Husain.
Recently, Imran also confessed his relationship with Lekha Washington. Confirming the reports, Imran was quoted in an interview with Vogue India as saying, “I am dating Lekha Washington. I am divorced after separating in February 2019.
“You guys keep calling Lekha the homebreaker, and that really angers me because it is such a misogynistic narrative; moreover, it nullifies my agency as a person. It was about 1.5 years post my split with Avantika and close to a year of Lekha splitting from her partner (not husband as has been reported),” he said.
Imran married Avantika Malik in 2011. They divorced in 2019. They share a daughter, Imara. There were a few speculations around their separation in 2019, but Imran or Avantika never spoke about it. The couple had parted ways last year, it was reported.
It was also recently reported that Imran and Lekha had rented a house together in Mumbai. According to Money Control, the two have rented a sea-facing apartment in Bandra from director Karan Johar. The monthly rent of the flat is ₹9 lakh. Imran previously lived in his bungalow in Bandra’s Pali Hill.
