The three actors common to DHOOM and DHOOM 2 were Abhishek Bachchan (ACP Jai Dixit), Rimi Sen (Sweety Dixit) and Uday Chopra (Ali). It was expected that apart from lead protagonists (Aamir and Katrina), the three mentioned stars would surely be there in DHOOM 3.
A while back when DHOOM 3 was announced, we had asked Rimi Sen, (who essayed Abhishek's wife in the first two editions of the DHOOM franchise) if she was there in the latest edition as well. But she had surprised us by saying, ''I have not been contacted for DHOOM 3''. At that point of time we had assumed that Rimi would surely be there and approached at the appropriate time.
However, it came as a shock when the steady DHOOM cop, ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan), was asked by a scribe if his wife (Sweety Dixit) had changed and whether there was a new 'love' in his life. And in a light vein he said ''No there is no wife for ACP Jay Dixit this time. Looks like she has disappeared somewhere!''
Well, here's hoping that Sweety's absence is not missed in DHOOM 3 and the Aamir-Katrina starrer sees a record breaking run!
