Ajay Devgn is officially going to be back as Vijay Salgaonkar in the eagerly anticipated Drishyam 3. Based on a new report by Pinkvilla, the producers are getting ready for a grander than expected unveiling with a teaser hinting at release on October 2, 2025, which is Gandhi Jayanti — a date of symbolic importance for the franchise.
According to reports, the teaser is 1 minute 17 seconds long and will be the official announcement of the third and last part of the crime thriller series. The movie will be directed by Abhishek Pathak, who successfully directed Drishyam 2.
The original cast members — Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Kamlesh Sawant, and Akshaye Khanna — will return to reunite the Drishyam family for one more chapter. Production is scheduled to start on October 2, 2025, with a 3-month shoot over real locations in Maharashtra as well as specially built studio sets.
A source informed, “Ajay Devgn has already booked his dates, and the script is in the final stages of working on the dialogue draft. They are planning to release Drishyam 3 on Gandhi Jayanti 2026.”
It has not been decided yet if the Hindi version will be an adaptation of the new Malayalam Drishyam 3 or have a completely new story. More details will follow by the end of July.
