The makers of Awarapan 2 have released the film’s title track, Yeh Awarapan, giving audiences another glimpse into the emotional world of the much-awaited sequel. Yeh Awarapan is sung by Arijit Singh, with music composed by Amaal Malik and lyrics written by Rashmi-Virag. The song leans heavily into themes of love, heartbreak and redemption, continuing the emotional storytelling that the Awarapan franchise has been known for since the original film’s release. Rather than relying on grand visuals, the track focuses on its music and performances to create an emotional impact.
The music video features Emraan Hashmi, who returns to the franchise in a role marked by emotional conflict and intensity. His restrained performance, paired with Arijit Singh’s vocals, complements the song’s melancholic tone. Amaal Malik’s composition and Rashmi-Virag’s lyrics work together to create a track that fits naturally within the film’s narrative, reflecting the emotional journey of Emraan’s character, Shivam Pandit.
The release of the song also marks another collaboration between Vishesh Films and Arijit Singh.
Produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Mukesh Bhatt, Awarapan 2 is directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqi. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Atul Kumar, and Aniruddh Rawal in key roles. Following the release of its songs, the film is set to arrive in cinemas worldwide on August 14, 2026.
