Arjun Kapoor, who is currently basking in the success of Singham Again and his portrayal of Danger Lanka, recently opened up in an exclusive interview sharing some nostalgic moments from his early movie-watching days.
The actor fondly recalled the time when he and his friends illegally bought tickets for Shah Rukh Khan’s Mohabbatein outside the Chandan Cinema, as tickets were sold out during its release. It was during the Diwali holidays, and Arjun was in the 8th or 9th grade at the time. The excitement of watching Mohabbatein with his friends after their exams, combined with the fact that they had to get the tickets through the black market, made it a memorable experience for him.
One of the most impactful parts of Mohabbatein for Arjun was Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic introduction, which he described as holding significant emotional value. Despite not being fully focused on his studies at the time, Arjun’s enthusiasm for the film and the experience of watching SRK on the big screen left a lasting impression on him.
Arjun also shared his admiration for Salman Khan’s unforgettable entrance in Dabangg, particularly the line “Robin Hood Pandey, swagat nahi karoge humara?” which he believes was delivered with exceptional impact, making it one of the standout moments in the film.
When talking about Lagaan, Arjun praised Aamir Khan’s performance and the film’s thrilling climax. He recalled how the atmosphere in theaters during the final cricket match felt electric, almost like being at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium with the audience cheering loudly, and how it created an unforgettable movie-watching experience. He also recommended The Making of Lagaan on Netflix, describing it as an “unbelievable” behind-the-scenes look that movie lovers should not miss.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor will soon be seen in No Entry 2, alongside Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh, further building on his diverse filmography. His love for cinema and the memories he shared in the interview show his deep connection with the magic of the big screen, making his journey in the film industry even more personal and relatable for fans.
