After giving us YJHD, RRKPK, 2 States and HSKD Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is back with an intense love story bringing romance back on the silver screen with his new production, Chand Mera Dil, a passionate love story from Dharma Productions. The film is directed by Vivek Soni, who earlier gave us Meenakshi Sundareshwar, and will see fresh pair Ananya Panday and Lakshya on the romance silver screen.
Karan Johar, known for bringing warm love stories, walked on to the underwhelming news on 7th November 2024 with a series of first look posters announcing his lead pair. On Instagram, he posted, “We have two chands ready to bring an intense & passionate love story like no other!!! Pyaar mein thoda paagal hona hi padta hai. Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday & Lakshya. Directed by Vivek Soni. Coming to cinemas in 2025.”
Fans quickly ran to the comments to express their excitement, hailing the chemistry of Lakshya with Ananya. A few even praised Ananya’s looks, like this comment – YOU ARE SO PRETTY ANANYA. Nose piercing on you looks so prettyyyyyy – while this comment from Shanaya Kapoor playfully suggested that they pierce Ananya’s nose on the spot.
Both Ananya and Lakshya had great years in 2024. The year bodes great for Ananya as she showcased her digital debut with Call Me Bae, and she stunned the nation with CTRL released on Netflix. Lakshya’s Kill became one of the sleeper hits of the year, worthy recognition coming their way. The announcement of Chand Mera Dil has only added to the growing anticipation for the romantic saga which is slated to release in 2025.
