The latest edition of the biggest and most popular franchise of Hindi cinema is still getting a sizeable number of audience, though it released almost a month back. Obviously we are talking about Yash Raj Films’ Vijay Krishna Acharya directed Aamir, Abhishek, Katrina and Uday starrer, DHOOM 3.

As per the latest data available with us, DHOOM 3 has netted around 265 crore from India (Hindi version) and in excess of $ 26m from the overseas, and still counting!
While the last edition, DHOOM 2, released in 2006, it took almost seven years for the next, DHOOM 3, to hit the screens. However this time around DHOOM fans won’t have to wait that long, and this comes straight from the horse’s mouth, the director of DHOOM 3, Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor).

Talking to a very senior and respectable journalist of the vernacular press, Victor confirmed that DHOOM 4 will happen for sure. Says Vijay, ”Definitely, DHOOM 4 will happen soon, though I cannot say exactly how soon, but one thing is certain, it will not take as long as DHOOM 3. And I promise that DHOOM 4 will be bigger and even more entertaining.”
Well, that is indeed good news for all DHOOM aficionados, but we just wonder who will essay the main protagonist (or antagonist!) and surpass Aamir Khan, as each subsequent star in the DHOOM series was bigger than the one in the previous edition. Do we hear somebody whispering King K…n ? We are not quite sure!
