Border 2, the long-awaited sequel to the classic 1997 war movie Border, is creating huge buzz with its emotive script and star-studded cast. Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Sunny Deol, the movie guarantees to be a moving tribute to the Indian armed forces.
Diljit Wraps Up His Shooting Schedule
Diljit Dosanjh recently went on social media to share news of his shoot wrap for Border 2. In an emotional reel, he was captured giving hugs and sweets and sharing emotional moments with co-stars Ahan Shetty and Varun Dhawan. To the iconic song Sandese Aate Hain from the first film, the video had Diljit hugging co-stars and thanking the villagers and the team.
He posted that he was portraying Shaheed Nirmal Jeet Singh Sekhon Ji, a legendary martyr of the Indian Air Force. His tribute moved everyone’s hearts, Varun Dhawan included, who responded with an emotional post, writing, “Paaji ek shot baaki hai, Anurag paak bula rahe hain,” in reference to director Anurag Singh.
A Tribute to Unsung Heroes
Directed by Anurag Singh and supported by producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 attempts to pay tribute to untold tales of Indian soldiers. The movie combines big-budget war sequences with emotional depth and aims to appeal both to the older generation of fans of the original and new-age audiences.
