Kareena Kapoor Khan’s GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN is currently running in theatres. Meanwhile there is some competition in the making in-house as well, what with BULLETT RAJA coming this Friday and taking over the space of GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN.

Isn’t it one clash that could have been best avoided?
‘Naah, there is no competition here,’ smiles Kareena, ‘These are two totally different films. Mine is a romantic comedy and Saif’s is an action affair. Good for audience naa, they would see two different kind of films in back to back weeks.’
In the times when a risque comedy like GRAND MASTI has managed to score 100 crore and an adult romantic/violent drama like GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM-LEELA is all set to reach that mark, Puneet Malhotra’s GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN is a film that has been designed for the family audience.
For Kareena too, it was fun to be in the relatively easy world of GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN after a couple of back to back heavy duty films like SATYAGRAHA and HEROINE.
‘Yes, I think after these two films where I really had intense roles to play, shooting for this one was a lot of fun. It is in a space in which audience like to see me where I am in this desi avtar. I enjoyed working in it,’ says Kareena.
The Karan Johar production had its own share of casting hassles before she came on board. Wasn’t that ever a deterrent?
‘See, every film may go through such a phase; it’s normal. Also, any actor has a right to say no to a role. Even I have said no to so many films. A film may sometimes work for one actor and not work for another. I respect the stand that anyone takes on it,’ says Kareena in a matter of fact tone before signing off.
