The swearing-in ceremony of Devendra Fadnavis as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister at Azad Maidan in Mumbai turned into a star-studded affair, as political and other celebrities made a beeline to attend it.
Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Sanjay Dutt were few of the other notable Bollywood personalities attending the meeting and made their presence felt during the election meeting by adding that extra amount of glamour.
Shah Rukh Khan is called the “Badshah of Bollywood.” Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh belong to the next generation of Hollywood and were sighted lost in conversation while attending this event.
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani was accompanied by his son Anant Ambani and daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant, who represented the business world. Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and his wife Anjali and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar were also present to further heighten the profile of the occasion.
On the political front, the Shiv Sena leader, Eknath Shinde, took his oath as Deputy Chief Minister with NCP stalwart Ajit Pawar, who also joined the cabinet as a deputy of the Fadnavis-led state administration. This political rearrangement received weightage as Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the ceremony.
This was a cocktail of politics and commerce with a touch of Bollywood, highlighting the importance of the event and the closeness of the sphere in the sociocultural and political domain of Maharashtra.
