With the release of NAAM SHABANA starring Taapsee Pannu Bollywood witnessed the birth of a new genre of film i.e spin-offs. NAAM SHABANA was a story of Taapsee’s character Shabana from the film BABY. In short, it was spin-off prequel of BABY.
Now somewhat similar on the lines of NAAM SHABANA we will get to see a film made on Langda Tyagi, which was Saif Ali Khan’s one of the best performances till the date.
Langda Tyagi was a pivotal character in Vishal Bhardwaj directed OMKARA which was an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello.
According to a report in a leading daily Vishal Bhardwaj is planning a spin-off of his film OMKARA. This spin-off will be completely based on Langda Tyagi’s character. Abhishek Choubey and Robin Bhatt are writing the script of this film and Saif has already given his approval for this film.
Everyone was blown away by Saif’s character Langda so imagine how nice it would be to have an entire made on this character.
However, with no official announcement made by the makers all we can do now is wait and watch.
