Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao has exciting news for his fans following the massive success of Stree 2. Rao has announced his next film, with the title set to be unveiled on August 31, coinciding with his birthday. The anticipation is building as the first poster has been released, featuring Rao with his back to the camera, holding a gun—a glimpse that suggests a thrilling, action-packed role.

The upcoming film will be produced by Kumar Taurani of Tips Films and Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films. This project follows Rao’s recent triumph in Stree 2, where his character, Vicky, teams up with Stree to face a new foe, Sarkata, the headless one. The sequel has been a huge hit, earning over ₹500 crore globally and receiving widespread acclaim from critics.

*Stree 2* not only stars Rajkummar Rao but also features Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles. The film also includes special appearances by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia, adding to the star power and entertainment value.

In addition to his work in Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao recently shared a playful moment on social media, posting photos of a comedic scene that was ultimately cut from the film. In the images, Rao is seen in a humorous, over-the-top outfit—a shiny blue skirt, bright red top, glittery golden jacket, high heels, and a fringe-cut wig. His fans and fellow celebrities, including Vijay Varma, Shraddha Kapoor, and Guneet Monga, showed overwhelming support for including the scene in a potential OTT release.

Rao has also been engaging in thoughtful discussions outside of his film roles. During an appearance on Raj Shamani’s podcast, he addressed the portrayal of negative characters in films, such as Shah Rukh Khan’s Devdas. Rao emphasized that the intent behind these characters is often misunderstood by viewers, who may wrongly glorify them. He pointed out that characters like Devdas are meant to be cautionary tales, not figures to idolize.

As the release date for his next film’s title approaches, fans are eagerly awaiting what Rajkummar Rao has in store, confident that it will be another memorable addition to his impressive body of work.
