Triptii Dimri recently opened up about her experience working with Ranbir Kapoor on the 2023 film Animal, in which she starred opposite him. She shared how Ranbir’s support was crucial in helping her perform a difficult confession scene. The actress recalled struggling during the scene, particularly with her ability to cry, and was having trouble remembering her lines that day due to lack of sleep, as she was simultaneously shooting for another project.
In a candid interview with Filmfare, Triptii described Ranbir Kapoor as an extremely “secure” actor, highlighting his calming and collaborative approach on set. She shared that she was feeling the pressure of performing in front of a seasoned actor like Ranbir, and it affected her performance during the long, emotional monologue.

Ranbir noticed her struggle and stepped in to support her, suggesting, “Triptii, kiska shot lein pehle, mera close ya tera close (whose close-up shot should we take first), you tell me.” His gesture of including her in the decision-making process helped ease her nerves. Triptii expressed that Ranbir’s approach was almost like that of a director, and it created a supportive environment where she didn’t feel rushed or pressured.
Thanks to Ranbir’s empathy and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s direction, Triptii managed to complete the scene in the end. She emphasized that without their support, she wouldn’t have been able to perform the way she did.
