Richa Chadda, who would next be seen in FUKREY, has said yes to an international film. One of the major factors behind her consent is the fact that unlike numerous other filmmakers from the foreign shores, those behind this film didn't demand her to go nude for the film.
''After GANGS OF WASSEYPUR, somehow there was an image being built up around Richa being one of those 'bindaas' exotic women from India who didn't shy away from dare-bare sequences, kissing scenes or going nude for a part. In fact Richa was surprised why she was being perceived this way,'' says a friend of the actress, ''She had to say no to many offers, both 'desi' as well as 'videsi', since she wasn't comfortable with nudity.''
In fact during her visit to Cannes last year, she had a few elaborate readings as well as proposals for international assignments. However in some case it was the nudity factor that put her off while in others, there was a long waiting period required.
''However things are proceeding well on this international film and it is a win-win situation for all,'' the friend adds, ''There is no nudity involved while there are also definite plans for the film to go on floors before end of year.''
Of course it is the confidentiality clause that doesn't allow Richa to spill the beans yet but our sources inform that the film would be shot primarily in India while the producers and director would be flying in from abroad this December.
''That's true but I can't reveal much about it for now,'' says Richa, ''Yes, this film doesn't require me to go nude which is a relief. It isn't as if there are certain rules that I have set for myself and hence I don't want to shed clothes; it is just that I find it all so unnecessary. Yes, going nude may be real but that can also be distracting.''
