Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Karan Arjun had been one of the iconic films in Bollywood. It enjoys a cult fan base with the power-packed ensembles of Rakhee, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, and Amrish Puri. The film is all set to delight the fans once again as Rakesh Roshan’s directorial is scheduled to re-release globally on November 22, 2024.

Bollywood aficionados are in for a Diwali treat this weekend as Rakesh Roshan will create history with the biggest re-release ever by re-releasing Karan Arjun in single screens and multiplexes across India, along with an International re-release scheduled simultaneously.

The official announcement, with a brand-new tease for the reincarnation of the cult classic film, came from Salman Khan himself. The 1-minute teaser will take the audience on a memory lane tour of this reincarnation-revenge saga. Special post announcement was captioned, “Raakhi ji ne sahi kaha tha film mein ki mere Karan Arjun aayenge …November 22 ko duniya bhar ke cinema gharon mein!”

The film Khiladi marked the first celluloid appearance of the two superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. The movie was a box office success, one of the highest-grossing films of the year upon its release. It enjoyed a golden 50-week run in 76 centers, and during its 75th week, the movie was screened in cinema halls in as many as 26 centers.

Karan Arjun also gave India its iconic ‘cine-ma’ in the form of Rakhee Gulzar’s character Durga Singh and a menacing villain in the late Amrish Puri’s Thakur Durjan Singh. It also features Kajol as Sonia Saxena and Mamta Kulkarni as Bindiya.

It goes on to enjoy its cult status in pop culture references for its high-on-recall dialogues and the soul-stirring music by Rajesh Roshan with the endearing theme of brotherhood. From Rakesh Roshan’s FilmKraft Production, Karan Arjun is still remembered for its thrilling action scenes, emotional etching, and, of course, the never-to-forget chemistry between Salman and Shah Rukh.

It is a tale of reincarnation and revenge, in which two brothers, Karan and Arjun, due to the family feud, face separation. Their lives intertwine in the next birth when they set out to seek reward and redemption.
