The teaser of Aakhri Sawal, starring Sanjay Dutt, has been released a few days after the film was officially announced. The makers chose to unveil the teaser on the occasion of Hanuman Ji Janmotsav. The short video gives a basic idea of the film’s theme, which focuses on questions around truth, history, and how young people see these topics.
The story follows a student named Vicky, who is shown as sharp and curious. He questions his mentor, Professor Gopal Nadkarni, after his thesis gets rejected. What starts as a personal academic disagreement slowly grows into something much bigger. It turns into a wider public debate, bringing attention from across the country. The film then builds into a strong conflict between a teacher and student, showing a Guru and Shishya face off.
Earlier, the makers had shared the first look poster along with the release date. The poster shows Sanjay Dutt in a serious expression, placed inside a large question mark. The design uses dark shades and fire like visuals, which give it a tense and mysterious feel. The tagline on the poster reads, “The Question India Never Stopped Asking,” pointing towards the central idea of the story.
The film is produced by Nikhil Nanda, Dhanraj Nathwani, and Sanjay Dutt. It is backed by Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures and Neem Tree Entertainment. Apart from Sanjay Dutt, the film also features Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Tridha Choudhury, and Neetu Chandra in important roles. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on May 15, 2026.
At the same time, Sanjay Dutt is also seeing success with his recent film Dhurandhar The Revenge. In that film, he plays Pakistani police officer Chaudhary Aslam. The movie, which also stars Ranveer Singh, has been performing well at the box office since its release.
