Actress Mouni Roy has finally addressed the criticism she faced after playing the role of Varun Dhawan‘s fake mother in the film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The unusual casting choice became a major talking point on social media, with many people questioning why a 40 year old actress was cast as the mother of a 39 year old actor. However, Mouni says she was never bothered by the criticism and remained focused on her work.
Mouni Roy is a well known name in the entertainment industry, thanks to popular projects such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Naagin, and Brahmastra. Her latest film appearance generated plenty of discussion online because of the unique role she played.
