”I have always wanted to read to children. Little Vinayak from Karadi Tales is such a wonderful funny story and I am happy for the opportunity to have done it,” this was what Vidya Balan had said when she undertook the assignment.
An original tale by Shobha Viswanath, Little Vinayak is about a little elephant whose trunk is so long that he trips and falls whenever he walks. No matter what he does, he cannot keep his long trunk out of the way – until one day, a very special friend offers an unusual solution. Vidya Balan recounts the story of Little Vinayak with humour and wit to engage every listener. The original printed version of the book has illustrations by Shilpa Ranade.
”Little Vinayak is a warm and funny story dealing with a physical disability without being didactic or preachy. I hope children love it. Vidya Balan has done such a fabulous job with the narration,” says Shobha Vishwanath, Publishing Director, Karadi Tales.
