Unstoppable Jungkook! Verified Instagram Account with Just 1 Post and Millions of Followers

BTS star Jungkook has officially returned to Instagram after a two-year break, surprising fans with the reveal of his new secret account, @mnijungkook. The singer shared the news during a live stream with fellow BTS members V and RM on July 15, where he also explained the meaning behind the unique handle — “my name is Jungkook.”

Instagram Comeback and Instant Success
Though the account was quietly created back in January 2025, Jungkook only made it public last week. Within just 24 hours of the reveal, the page gained 6.5 million followers. As of now, he boasts 9.2 million followers with only one post — a photo of his iconic ‘JK’ trademark. Jungkook currently follows only six other accounts: the BTS official page and his six fellow band members.

On July 22, just a week after going public, Jungkook’s new Instagram was officially verified by Meta. This marks a major milestone following the deletion of his original account, which had over 50 million followers.

Second Account and Future Fan Engagement
In addition to his main account, Jungkook is also known to co-manage @bowwow_bam, an account that documents his dog Bam and is jointly operated with his brother. That page has amassed 7.7 million followers.

The singer previously cited “lack of use” as the reason for deleting his original account, but he now seems committed to reconnecting with fans through live sessions and Q&As, especially after completing his mandatory military service.

BTS Set to Reunite in 2026
With all seven BTS members now having completed their military service — the last being Suga on June 21, 2025 — the group is officially planning a comeback. A new album and a world tour are slated for spring 2026, as confirmed during a special Weverse broadcast featuring the full group together for the first time since 2022.
