Last Seen Trailer: Patrick Brammall’s New Thriller Begins With A Chilling Call From His Missing Daughter

Apple TV has released the trailer for Last Seen, a six part Australian thriller about a father who believes a distress call comes from his daughter.

Apple TV has released the first trailer for Last Seen, a new Australian thriller series that follows a father searching for answers about his daughter’s disappearance. The six episode mystery drama stars Patrick Brammall as a former detective whose life changes completely when he receives a disturbing emergency call more than a decade after his daughter went missing.

The series is set and filmed in Victoria, Australia, giving the thriller a strong local setting while focusing on a deeply personal family mystery. Brammall plays Ridley, a police dispatcher who has spent 11 years hoping that his daughter Maggie is still alive. Despite the passage of time and the lack of answers, Ridley has refused to believe that he has lost his daughter forever.

Everything changes when Ridley answers an emergency call from a frightened teenage girl. As he listens to her voice, he becomes convinced that the girl could be Maggie. The possibility gives him new hope, but it also pushes him into an urgent search to discover what really happened to his daughter.

The trailer introduces a story filled with mystery, emotional tension and unanswered questions. Ridley must follow every possible lead while dealing with the pain of his daughter’s disappearance. His search is not only about finding Maggie but also about understanding what happened during the 11 years when she was missing.

Last Seen is based on The Dispatcher, the award winning novel by Ryan David Jahn. The book received the CWA John Creasey Dagger Award and has now been adapted for television by writer and executive producer Kris Mrksa.

Emmy nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow has directed the series and also serves as an executive producer. The international cast includes Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman and Jessica Wren. Tobias Muhafidin also appears in the series, while newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes makes her screen debut.

The six part series is expected to combine the emotional story of a missing child with the suspense of a mystery thriller. At the center of the story is Ridley’s belief that the voice he heard could finally lead him back to Maggie. However, the series will leave viewers wondering whether he has truly found a clue or is simply holding on to the hope he has carried for years.

Last Seen will premiere globally on Apple TV on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The first two episodes will be released together, followed by one new episode every Wednesday. The final episode is scheduled to arrive on October 7, 2026.
