The world was in shock after the sudden death of former One Direction member Liam Payne. Fans as well as celebrities paid their tribute to the British singer who died on October 16th. Recently, the Jonas Brothers even paid a touching tribute to Liam Payne on stage at their concert in California by singing One Direction’s Night Changes and leaving many fans in tears.
In the videos of social media, the brothers, Nick Jonas, are depicting the song with sincere devotion. Nick started the song, and then the eldest Jonas brother followed him, and after that, the third brother comes on guitar as he stands in a line at Yaamava’ Theatre. They sang: “We’re only gettin’ older, baby, And I’ve been thinkin’ about it lately, Does it ever drive you crazy, Just how fast the night changes?”
Concert clips went viral on YouTube which really stirred feelings in the fans, who just swamped the comment section. “My two favorite boy bands from my childhood just had a crossover episode. Didn’t expect it, though appreciate it,” a fan said. Another added: “So much respect being shown for Liam — not a single bad word from any artist, just sadness for a life lost.”
Fans also appreciated the dedication by the Jonas Brothers. “Fan in the making-they’re so sweet for letting us hear it one more time,” wrote one. Another user commented, “Thank you, Jonas Brothers. We miss you, Liam. Sing like an angel wherever you are.”
Sources state that the body of Payne was handed over to his father, Geoff Payne, who just happened to be traveling in Argentina when his son died. The remains were flown back to England for a memorial service. The sources predict that this memorial service will feature his former bandmates for one last time: Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson.
