Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming coming of age comedy movie Best Of The Best. The film stars Never Have I Ever actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Disclosure Day actress Priyanka Kedia in the lead roles. The two actresses play Maya and Anjali, childhood best friends whose lives take an unexpected turn when they join a competitive Bollywood fusion dance team at UCLA.
The story follows Maya and Anjali as they enter the world of college dance competitions. What begins as an exciting opportunity quickly becomes much more intense as the friends discover that reaching the U.S. Championship will not be easy. They have to deal with tough competition, personal challenges and the pressure that comes with being part of a team determined to win.
The movie also features Hasan Minhaj, who is known for his work as a comedian and performer. Minhaj has also co written the film and appears in it alongside the two lead actresses. His involvement adds another familiar name to the cast of the Netflix project.
The supporting cast includes Ankur Rathee, Janina Gavankar, Chaneil Kular, Becky Alex and Shreya Navile. The film also features Nihar Duvvuri, Nico Greetham, Amryn Khurana, Tanishq Joshi, Lilly Singh, Saara Chaudry, Sasha Bhasin and Kavi Ramachandran.
At its heart, Best Of The Best focuses on the friendship between Maya and Anjali while exploring their experiences as they try to make their mark in the competitive college dance world. The story is expected to combine friendship, ambition and the ups and downs of growing up.
