The trailer for this Netflix original film, Vijay 69, is out with Anupam Kher in the lead role and promises to be a very inspiring journey about second chances and pursuing dreams at any age. The lead character of Vijay has decided at 69 that he would make his mark by doing a triathlon, which is something that makes those around him laugh at him rather than bewildering them.
The film depicts the transformation of Vijay by having his close friend and even his family making light of him in the initial scenes, not showing support for his new aspirations, just as Mihir Ahuja did to a certain extent during intensive training periods under him. This all leads to him being hospitalized and not receiving the opportunity from the organizers of the triathlon.

The trailer ends on an upbeat note as Vijay finally attends the event. He proclaims, “Sapno ki koi expiry date nahi hoti” (There is no expiry date for dreams), which is, in essence, the takeaway from the movie. It is indeed a message the director Akshay Roy wants to convey through his film that perseverance and another chance do make a huge difference in making the impossible probable.
With Kher, Roy heaped praise for the dedication of the actor and honesty which brings great depth in the multifaceted role that this movie contains. Co-Produced by Maneesh Sharma under a partnership by YRF Entertainment and Netflix, Vijay 69 is sure to become a heartfelt, feel-good film suitable for everyone regardless of their age group.
